About Thomas Carpentier
Thomas Carpentier, Director of Engineering at SOCOTEC UK, has over 12 years’ industry experience as a fire safety engineer in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East and Australia. Having successfully delivered projects in the education, health care, residential, commercial, retail, oil & gas, community, food processing, heritage and defence sectors, Thomas has a thorough understanding of the challenges associated with fire safety, and has demonstrated expertise in resolving issues using performance based solutions.
Thomas now leads the Engineering department at SOCOTEC UK, which comprise the Fire Engineering, Façade Engineering and Structural Engineering teams. Thomas has demonstrated his capacity to win and deliver multi-disciplinary projects, which allows SOCOTEC UK to offer an integrated service approach to their clients.

Thomas has been the Director of the Fire Engineering division at SOCOTEC UK since 2020. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Director in a Building Services and Fire Engineering consulting firm in Australia.
