At SOCOTEC, community is at the forefront of everything that we do. Being a socially responsible business allows us to be transparent about our services, making us a leading organisation in our sector.

What does social responsibility mean to SOCOTEC?

SOCOTEC understands the benefits of social responsibility, to support our local and global communities by creating a positive social impact. Being actively responsible about our impact opens us up to unlimited opportunities which allows us to take actions that will benefit society as a whole. Our social commitment is defined by our inclusive perspective and attitude, built on a foundation of fairness and equality.

    SOCOTEC’s social responsibility activities

We recognise that there is a challenge with attracting and retaining women in the infrastructure, construction and certification industry. SOCOTEC UK is committed to addressing this imbalance and closing the gender pay gap. To celebrate women in the industry, SOCOTEC supports International Women’s Day highlighting the achievements of five women in their respected sectors. SOCOTEC is working closely with colleges and schools to highlight the career opportunities within the sector and providing support for both T levels and a variety of apprenticeships based around the TIC sector, including science, engineering and geology-based roles.

SOCOTEC has introduced a new family leave policy which offers enhanced pay that exceeds the statutory provision for Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave. This supports our continued aim to enhance our benefits programme and maintain SOCOTEC's position as a leading employer in the UK.
