Construction of a new build five-storey residential unit comprising one and two bed apartments as well as a two‑storey single dwelling at the rear of the site. The site was located next to the A2, a major road in South East London.
Engaged by the developer to prepare a cost plan for remedial works to an existing concrete slab and frame and for completion of the build, in addition to advising on procurement strategies and works packages.
Initially the developer split the works into trade packages, managing it through its own construction division. Following completion of the enabling works, all remaining works were placed with a single contractor. As such, services involved preparing tender information and managing the tender process, including:
- Defining the scope
- Preparing contract documents
- Dealing with tender enquiries
- Tender evaluations and recommendations
Following the appointment of a contractor, our team provided contract administration and quantity surveying services, undertaking the roles as set out in the construction contract.
