SOCOTEC Delivers Training Day alongside Morris Lubricants

    Fri 06/01/2018 - 16:26

Morris Lubricants, UK manufacturer of world-class lubricants, and SOCOTEC took part in the collaborative training day to educate invite-only rail customers on the importance of using high quality oil within the rail industry, as well as pairing the right oil type with the right asset. Delegates were also able to gain a better understanding of why oil condition monitoring is fundamental to preventative maintenance and optimising equipment reliability.

Rail industry participants attended Morris Lubricant’s head office in Shrewsbury on 15 May, where SOCOTEC and Morris speakers provided informative presentations. A factory tour allowed delegates to view the process of manufacturing and bottling oil, ready for distribution.

James Clay, operations director, Infrastructure & Energy Services, SOCOTEC, commented:

“Training days – like this one - are a great opportunity in giving something extra back to our clients, as well as offering our knowledge and expertise out to the clients of like-minded businesses. Both SOCOTEC and Morris have quality at the heart of what we do, and sharing what we know will bring benefits to those organisations.”

SOCOTEC provide a range of fluid analysis and condition monitoring services to all industries, with rail just one area of focus. Testing such fluids can assess the performance and efficiency of machinery, resulting in significant cost savings in downtime and component life extension.

Due to the success of the first training day, SOCOTEC intends to hold more training days offering the added-value to other industries that will benefit from knowing more about oil condition monitoring.
