SOCOTEC Appointed to LHC Framework for Asbestos and Water
SOCOTEC, the UK’s leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance services, is pleased to have secured a place on the LHC’s Asbestos Services Framework.
LHC is a not-for-profit purchasing body, whose framework agreement supports the public sector in procuring construction, refurbishment and maintenance services for social housing and public buildings. Publically funded organisations – such as local authorities, registered social landlords, schools, and emergency services – can benefit by using pre-approved suppliers in a cost-effective and efficient procurement process.
SOCOTEC’s recent placement on the Asbestos Services framework is the company’s second appointment to an LHC framework. In 2017, SOCOTEC – formerly ESG - joined the framework for Water Management and Legionella Control. Being placed on both framework agreements allows SOCOTEC to support public-sector bodies in their Property Protection and Maintenance.
Buyers looking to procure a service can be rest assured that SOCOTEC – as a pre-approved supplier - has already demonstrated its competence and capability in delivering high quality services at a reasonable cost.
All services and works listed in LHC’s procurement guide are undertaken to comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012. As a leading provider of asbestos management and consultancy services across a wide range of property types, SOCOTEC’s team of experienced consultants can support any organisation with their ‘Duty to Manage’ with services that include: asbestos management surveys, asbestos re-inspection surveys, asbestos air testing and asbestos 4 stage clearance works.
Already recognised by the LHC for its technical expertise, SOCOTEC can support duty holders of commercial buildings in achieving legal requirements for water safety, in compliance with the HSE Approved Code of Practice ACoP (L8) for the Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems. Offering independent water hygiene management, advice and Legionella training, SOCOTEC can meet water hygiene and Legionella management needs.
In bringing together buyers and suppliers to support strong working relationships, the LHC framework gives any public sector organisation the opportunity to procure directly through the LHC, removing the lengthy and time-consuming procurement process.
