ESG's Built Environment Services has been appointed to technical procurement specialist, LHC’s, AS1 Asbestos Works and Services framework in Scotland.
The framework, which will run for two years, has been set up for properties including housing, communal buildings, educational and NHS establishments, and all types of public sector body properties.
The compliance division has been appointed to two of the framework’s workstreams - asbestos management and supervision services, and air monitoring. The team will be called on to complete services including asbestos surveys, management and bulk sampling, as well as air sampling and monitoring services.
LHC is a leading not-for-profit public sector purchasing consortium providing best value procurement for the refurbishment, retrofit and maintenance of social housing, schools and other public sector buildings in England, Wales and Scotland.
Nick Harper, asbestos operations director at ESG, commented: “This latest framework appointment demonstrates our commitment to offering a high quality service at a cost-effective price point – something which is particularly important for clients in the public sector.”
Tim Oakley, LHC head of technical, looks forward to working with ESG, and said: “In setting up framework arrangements for Scotland, LHC seeks to appoint companies that can provide the best working practices at competitive rates. ESG has shown through the tender process that they can provide value for money, offering comprehensive services to a high standard with good customer satisfaction.”
