The UK’s leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance, a SOCOTEC company, ESG, recently hosted a training awareness day for resource-management company, SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, following on from a secured three year contract that can extend until 2020.
ESG’s five-year relationship with SUEZ began in 2012, with Energy & Waste Services providing initial support for groundwater, leachate and radiochemical analysis to SUEZ’s landfill sites. When the bid went to retender in 2016, SUEZ awarded ESG a further four year agreement.
The renewed contract agreement includes provision of laboratory services, water and soil sampling as well as dust and gas monitoring for all SUEZ landfill sites, transfer stations and civic amenity sites.
In the recent visit, ESG had the opportunity to demonstrate their impressive laboratory capabilities to the large-scale company, helping SUEZ to improve efficiency while reducing operational costs. By enhancing SUEZ’s understanding of every service ESG has to offer and scheduling the right tests, ESG is able to continually improve their services, adapt to the changing needs of the client, as well as continually changing to stay relevant with new legislation.
Zoe Cooper, business development director, Energy & Waste Services, ESG, commented: “We want to ensure that all of our clients get the most out of our laboratories, with our market leading turnaround times and adaptability to keep satisfying the client. Having SUEZ visit was a great way to demonstrate all of our competencies, lay out the possibilities for future business, and keep our relationship strong.”
