Fire Awareness Training
This course will provide delegates with a basic understanding of fire safety in relation to their workplace.
Fire Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and this course will provide skills and knowledge that can be applied to reduce fire risk in the workplace and beyond.

Aims and Objectives
To ensure that delegates understand how fires start, how fires spread and the actions to be taken when discovering a fire.
To understand the key role they play in proactively identifying fire risks and applying the principles of the fire triangle.
Course Overview
On completion of the course delegates will:
• Outline the requirements of the Fire Safety Order 2005
• Identify how to raise the alarm in the event of a fire
• List the elements of the fire triangle and the common causes of fire
• Outline the various control measures for fire prevention
• Understand the importance of safety signage
• List the types of extinguishers, their uses and disadvantages
Outcomes
At the end of their training and subject to successful completion of the multiple-choice test, delegates will be awarded with a certificate demonstrating their understanding of the subject matter. While there is no expiry date for this certification, delegates are recommended to undertake refresher training every three years, or earlier if products change, in order to update and enhance their knowledge in line with any regulatory changes.

The Fire Safety Awareness course is classroom-based training, delivered in-house at your venue for up-to 12 delegates per course
A suitably qualified and experienced trainer will deliver the course, and all training materials will be provided.
