CITB-Accredited SSSTS Refresher: One-Day Course for Experienced Site Supervisors
The Site Safety Plus – Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher course provides delegates with up-to-date knowledge on any relevant legislative changes and industry updates affecting their construction-based role. Accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), SSSTS refresher training will strengthen delegates’ understanding of their duties and responsibilities in terms of the health, safety and welfare and environmental issues when working on site.

Key Points
Experience: Delegates must have successfully completed the original two-day SSSTS course to be eligible for refresher training
Duration: 1 day (minimum of 7.5 hours)
Assessment: End of course assessment/exam
Teaching method: In-house or open course at various SOCOTEC training facilities across the UK
Aims/Objectives
The SSSTS Refresher course has been tailored to give delegates an updated understanding of their obligations as a site supervisor in accordance with legislation and industry changes. They will be educated on their moral and legal responsibilities, their accountabilities for site health, safety and welfare, how to monitor safety practices for groups of operatives and how to recognise the key qualities of a safe site environment (efficiency, cost-effectiveness and productivity).
Course Overview
The course is highly interactive, requiring delegates to participate in classroom discussions, and case studies. Once they have completed all the classroom-based content, delegates will then be assessed via an end of course assessment/exam.
Course Outcomes
By the end of the SSSTS Refresher course, delegates will be knowledgeable on the latest legislative updates regarding site safety, be able to implement new guidance and best industry practice and have a greater awareness of their individual supervisory duties.
Delegates will receive an accredited certificate, which will validate their qualification for a further five years.
If delegates do not complete their Refresher training before the certificate’s expiration date, they will need to retake the original SSSTS course in full.

Classroom Training only
In-house course at your venue for up-to 20 delegates per course

Candidates can expect bespoke, focused teaching that can be tailored to their individual learning needs.
A qualified CITB Approved Trainer and all training materials will also be provided.
