Our Approach
Our breadth of experience is spearheaded by the high level of technical experience, combines to deliver the most comprehensive and trusted industry leading foundation testing service available across the UK.
We pioneered the introduction of fully automated and remote monitoring of load testing in the UK and have constantly developed equipment and systems in line with available technology and the need for client interaction.
With our unique set of hydraulically operated drop hammers, dynamic pile load testing of bored piles up to 4.5MN can be achieved under favourable conditions. Alongside low strain and crosshole integrity assessments, we are a leading provider in Thermal Integrity Profiling, having introduced the technique to the UK market.
Working alongside other SOCOTEC UK Divisions, we are able to support a wide range of activities under one interface – bringing significant financial and management benefits to clients.

Why do you need Pile Testing?

Ensuring Structural Integrity
Pile testing, especially non-destructive tests like Low Strain Integrity Tests, helps detect any defects, discontinuities, or damage within the pile. This ensures the pile's structural integrity and longevity.

Compliance with Regulations and Standards
Construction projects must comply with local, national, and international building codes and standards. Pile testing provides documented proof that the foundation meets these regulatory requirements.

Quality Control
During construction, variations in materials and workmanship can affect pile performance. Pile testing serves as a quality control measure to ensure that each pile meets the required specifications and standards.

Risk Mitigation
Testing helps identify potential issues early in the construction process, allowing for corrective actions to be taken before significant problems arise. This reduces the risk of foundation failure and associated costs.

Enhancing Safety
Ultimately, pile testing enhances the safety of the structure. By ensuring that the foundation is capable of supporting the intended loads, it prevents potential catastrophic failures that could endanger lives and property.
