About Wayne Neville
Wayne is the Technical & Operations Director for SOCOTEC UK Limited Fire Safety Team which sits under the Building & Real Estate Division. Wayne is responsible for the overall management of the Business Unit and the Fire Safety Consultants based around the country and an Operations Team based in our Oxfordshire office.
Wayne has worked in the Fire Industry and Fire Safety profession for over 33 years and hasled in the development and delivery of fire safety solutions and installations for a wide variety of construction projects across a range of building sectors. He has broad experience in fire safety engineering, fire risk assessment and fire safety management as well as passive & active fire safety installations.
Professional Experience
6 YEARS WITH THE COMPANY | 33 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY
Wayne has been the Technical & Operations Director at SOCOTEC UK since 2020 and since working for the company has been promoted twice from starting as a Principal Fire Safety Consultant to Fire Safety Practice Manager, and then to his current position as Director. Prior to working for SOCOTEC UK Wayne worked within the Kent Fire & Rescue Service for 11 years qualifying to Sub Officer/Watch Manager until deciding to expand his knowledge and career in fire safety.Working within both the Private and Public sectors, Wayne worked for 9 years as an operational Station Officer & Incident Commander & Controller within the Manufacturing & Research Pharmaceutical industry, gaining vast knowledge of both building construction, fire safety solutions and fire engineering. Wayne then spent 4 years in HM Prison Service as a Fire Safety Manager/Advisor & Technician before moving into the NHS Sector where he spent a further 6 years covering Acute, Mental Health and community-based services both as a Fire Manager & Senior Fire Safety Advisor.
