Our apprentice Chloe Ranger, has now completed her Level three Business Administrator apprenticeship. To celebrate Chloe’s achievement, we sat down with her to reflect on the training programme and what she now has to look forward to.
My apprenticeship at SOCOTEC has been an exciting and transformative challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience, both on the job and off the job. The combination of day-to-day work and coursework made the process engaging, effective, and allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business.
The business administrator apprenticeship at SOCOTEC involved a diverse range of learning styles. It included regular online sessions and coursework that led up to my end point assessment (EPA). The EPA consisted of a multiple-choice exam that tested my general knowledge of business admin and a presentation where I showcased a successful project implementation. The final stage of the apprenticeship involved an interview that evaluated my job role and assessed how my knowledge, skills, and behaviours met the criteria for passing the apprenticeship.
My plan is to continue working for SOCOTEC UK, and I'm even considering exploring different departments in the future. This will allow me to gain valuable experience in various processes within the organisation.
Absolutely! My apprenticeship experience at SOCOTEC has been exceptional. If given the opportunity, I would love to do it all over again. The support from my training provider, tutor, and colleagues made the process natural and fulfilling.
I am most proud of successfully completing my exams. I tend to get nervous under pressure, which can sometimes affect my performance. However, despite my nerves, I reminded myself that I was capable of overcoming any challenge. This achievement significantly boosted my confidence and improved my communication skills.
My advice to current apprentices is to have confidence in yourself. Believe that you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. The journey may be challenging, but the outcome will be rewarding. Trust in your abilities and stay motivated.
My new job title is business administrator, and my responsibilities will remain the same. These include tasks such as registering test samples and liaising with clients via telephone and emails. I am excited to utilise my skills and contribute to SOCOTEC UK's continued success in this role.
