The conference will focus on new techniques and practical solutions for cost-effective risk assessment and remediation.
Brownfield Briefing runs a series of conferences throughout the year dedicated to exploring new and emerging issues in brownfield land. The events are a great opportunity to network in a highly regarded and specialist field.
ESG’s technical marketing manager, Energy & Waste Services, Amy Parekh-Pross, will be presenting on ‘Mitigating and managing contamination risks to groundwater from landfill leachate’. She will be presenting with Adam Mears, regional environment manager from FCC Environment, who will discuss the levels of risk to groundwater posed by landfill leachate and detailing current good practice in leachate management to minimise the risks to groundwater.
Amy Parekh-Pross, commented: “The Brownfield Briefing conferences are a great platform to showcase ESG’s Environmental Chemistry services. I am hoping to provide a more detailed discussion of techniques for leachate testing and how this relates to groundwater risk assessment. I will also be discussing the whale blubber that we have tested for TPH. We have been to previous Brownfield Briefing conferences and they are always a good opportunity to network and provide our technical expertise on environmental chemistry.
“We have been in partnership with the FCC for four years and it is great to work with them so closely and inform others of the services we can provide.”
ESG’s Environmental Chemistry specialises in the testing and analysis of soils, waters, leachates, effluents, industrial wastes, marine waters and sediments accredited by UKAS to ISO17025 and MCERTS standards.
