Following a competitive process, ESG was confirmed as the successful bidder on the RFP Legionella & Water Hygiene - Asset Management Tender. The agreement, starting immediately, is to undertake an initial audit of the current L8 process in place at AGA and subsequently carry out Legionella Risk Assessments at approximately 100 premises in the company’s portfolio, including depots, stations and offices. Further to this, to ensure ongoing compliance, ESG will provide bi-annual and annual audits for the train operating company (TOC).
ESG already has a positive relationship with AGA, a company which aims to provide a reliable and efficient train service, having provided environmental monitoring for the TOC’s depots for the last three years. This new contract will not affect the existing agreement and should indeed strengthen the relationship.
Nicola Atkinson, rail account manager, ESG, said: “We’re delighted that Abellio Greater Anglia, a train operating company that prides itself on high standards, has appointed us to provide its Legionella Risk Assessment and Water Hygiene services. Having already worked with the train operator for over three years, we have a strong existing relationship. Being successful on this tender allows AGA to reduce points of contact for testing, inspection and compliance services, as well as giving us the opportunity to prove that we can deliver the quality that they expect across a broad range of services.”
