The British Drilling Association (BDA) has recently published an updated guidance document for the operation of cable percussion rigs (shell and auger). The ‘good practice’ guide has been extensively revised this year and covers all aspects of cable percussion drilling, including safety considerations endorsed by the HSE.

What’s changed?
The previous guidance, published in 2006, has been completely rewritten for 2016 and includes the latest methodologies and best practice for the drilling sector. The content has been reviewed and endorsed by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
