ABOUT SELIM GULER
Selim is a Civil Engineer and Quantity Surveyor with over 14 years of experience in the construction industry. He has assisted reputable quantum experts across a wide range of disputes under international arbitrations, relating to cost to complete, defects, prolongation, head office overheads, mitigation/acceleration, disruption, financing costs and variations.
Prior to expert work, Selim spent over eight years in contracting, internationally, which has given him extensive commercial experience and acumen on a wide range of issues. He has gained experience working for a leading international main contractor, for the delivery of an airport in Oman and a gas compressor facility project in Georgia. This was followed by an assignment as claims consultant for the construction of a proton beam therapy hospital project in the UK. Selim has site-based involvements in the engineering, procurement, construction, project and commercial management stages of several international projects across various regions.
Selim’s on-site experience covers projects such as international airports, hotels, process plants and hospitals. His disputes work includes, but is not limited to, a world class hospital, several industrial/process plants, a suspension bridge, a dam and an offshore wind farm. He has worked under various forms of contracts including FIDIC, NEC and bespoke forms.
