About Gugulethu Sibanda

Gugulethu is a legally qualified quantity surveyor with over 15 years of legal and construction industry experience as a Director of Quantity Surveying and Business Services, Commercial Risk Director, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Contracts Consultant.

He has worked on a broad range of projects for a varied UK client base in the building, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors. Most notably, Gugulethu has provided commercial and contractual advice to project and commercial teams, delivering over £100 million of geotechnical services directly to HS2 (high-speed rail scheme), Lower Thames Crossing, Cross Rail and Highways England.

Gugulethu’s expertise in matters of quantity surveying include tendering and procurement, measurement and accurate preparation of bills of quantities, advice on contract risks, valuing and assessment of variations/ compensation events, advice on final accounts, dispute resolution, and claims management. He regularly undertakes contract due diligence for corporate transactions, in particular acquisitions. 

Gugulethu has strong commercial and contractual knowledge and has worked with a range of contracts, including JCT, NEC3, FIDIC, ICC, ICE and various bespoke forms. He regularly provides training on contractual and commercial risk awareness.
