About Anna Mestre
Anna is a qualified Architect and Project Management professional with 26 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries across Spain and the UK. In addition to her role as Associate Director at SOCOTEC Advisory in the Technical Expert Witness team, she continues to work as a Lecturer and Technical Tutor.
Anna has been with SOCOTEC since 2001, building her professional career within the company. She started as a Structures Consultant in the Barcelona office before moving to Madrid in 2007 to help establish a new office, taking on the roles of Consultant, Project Manager and later Bids Manager. In 2018, Anna moved to the International Business Development team and relocated to London, focussing on expanding opportunities, particularly in the KSA market.
Anna combines her role with her passion for teaching. She is currently a Lecturer and Technical Tutor at the Architectural Association (AA) and Central Saint Martins (CSM). She has recently been appointed as an external examiner at Oxford Brookes School of Architecture. Anna has received multiple awards for teaching excellence at IE University. In 2014–15, she was named Best Teacher at the IE School of Architecture, and in 2015–16, she received awards for the courses Physical Foundations in Architecture, Structural Types, and Structural Calculation.

Before joining SOCOTEC Advisory in 2025, Anna spent 25 years with SOCOTEC Group, holding various roles such as Team Leader, Project Leader, and Business Development Leader. Since 2009, she has also been a Lecturer, including at the IE School of Architecture and Design.
