SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is proud to announce its sponsorship of the National Brownfield Institute's industry conference.

Titled, ‘PFAS: A Forever Problem?’, the event takes place on 22nd April 2026, at the University of Wolverhampton's Springfield Campus, and aims to address the growing impact of PFAS contamination in brownfield regeneration and land development.

The practical implications of PFAS across site investigation, remediation strategies and long-term risk management will all be on the table to be discussed, with SOCOTEC's Tim Barnes and Amy Parekh-Pross on panels throughout the day.

Tim will deliver part of the welcome and introductory presentation alongside Sureena Brackenridge MP, whilst Amy will participate as a panel member in the breakout session on, ‘Remediation technologies and targets’.

It’s great to be part of an event such as this with the National Brownfield Institute. PFAS and addressing the issue of PFAS is a huge, nationwide topic of interest at the moment, and our leading team are delivering exceptional work for our clients.

Also on the conference’s agenda are keynote presentations from the Environment Agency, case studies on remediation approaches, as well as several breakout sessions examining both the scale of the PFAS challenge and how to solve it.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with sector peers and explore cutting-edge PFAS technology from exhibitors.

SOCOTEC is sponsoring the event alongside Puragen Limited, in partnership with ATG Group and the University of Wolverhampton.
