About Loukas Karampogias
Loukas is a chartered quantity surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries, specialising in value, cost, risk, and dispute management services.
Loukas ran his own engineering and construction management consultancy practice in Greece until 2015, as a licensed civil engineer and Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. Then, from 2015 until 2020 inclusive, he offered quantity surveying services in London to contractors on projects ranging from basement extensions to mostly large-scale (up to £360 million) high‑end residential and commercial developments.
Since 2021, Loukas has worked for SOCOTEC Advisory performing forensic quantum analysis and reporting in construction claims with values up to approximately £1 billion. Loukas has worked on disputes spanning four continents, including at least five ICC arbitrations, where the projects have ranged from residential developments with specialist commercial areas to industrial facilities and energy infrastructure.
Loukas is a member of the UKA Panel of Adjudicators, the CIC Low Value Disputes Model Adjudication Procedure Panel of Adjudicators of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the RICS Consumer Home Improvements Dispute Service Panel of Adjudicators.
Loukas is committed to lifelong professional development, and he actively supports colleagues in achieving chartered status with the RICS. He is a member of the Society of Construction Law and the Adjudication Society, and volunteers at Toastmasters International.
