SOCOTEC set to double Irish workforce by 2030 as part of huge investment

Global leader in testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services, SOCOTEC, is today announcing an acceleration of its investment in the Irish market with a commitment to doubling its workforce over the next four years, as well as the launch of a dedicated Ireland website, socotec.ie.

A new local recruitment drive looks set to massively expand the existing team of technical engineers that will support an expanded range of Irish-specific services spanning engineering, fire safety, environmental, monitoring, surveying and laboratory testing will also be delivered to Ireland.

The move builds upon SOCOTEC's recent activity in Ireland, including its acquisition of infrastructure firm Lloyds Datum Group, the opening of a new Dublin office focused on structural and fire engineering, drawing on the firm’s established engineering facility in Letterkenny, which has long served clients across Ireland with specialist fire engineering services, as well as future investment in its air and emissions office in Naas, County Kildare.

Dependent upon the demand for certain other services such as water flow monitoring and hydrographic surveys, there could let be more services and investment to come in SOCOTEC’s Irish operations.

The new socotec.ie website will, for the first time, bring together the full scope of SOCOTEC's Irish capabilities, breaking everything down into professional, technical and laboratory services, giving interested parties a direct line to SOCOTEC's Irish teams.

Alongside the digital investment, SOCOTEC is launching a dedicated recruitment drive to grow its Irish workforce with new roles aiming to bring in talent across engineering, fire safety, environmental, monitoring, surveying, testing and technical in order to support the country's growing demand for integrated compliance, risk and testing services.

The move reflects SOCOTEC's ambition to build long-term local capability, ensuring Irish clients are better served by locally-based service lines with staff who understand the regional regulatory landscape.
