Project Overview
Our client, Herbosch-Kiere was appointed to undertake enabling works for the development of 16.6 hectares of brownfield site on the River Thames.
Works included demolition of a redundant loading and unloading pontoon and its associated structures, such as monopiles, a linkspan bridge and sheet pile wall. Specialist marine demolition plant, vessels and marine subcontractors were required for the project, including expert diving teams for the installation of capping beams to the sheet pile wall.
Herbosch-Kiere was required to liaise with various stakeholders, including the Port of London Authority, due to the close proximity of the works to elements of historical interest.
