A team of leading professionals from SOCOTEC UK & Ireland has represented the region at the firm’s prestigious Trust & Tech Conference, held in Barcelona last week.
The annual conference brings over 60 colleagues from nine of SOCOTEC’s 26 territories together to advance its technical excellence and share learnings across its global network.
This year’s Trust & Tech Conference took place between 7th-8th October 2025, followed by the AI driving hub on 9th October, at SOCOTEC's Barcelona offices, with colleagues from Germany, the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Middle East & Africa and Vietnam attending.
The UK delegation was heavily involved in discussions covering eight key technical areas, including:
- Advanced and finite element analyses
- advisory and claims services
- building sciences encompassing design and energy efficiency
- data management
- BIM and AI applications
- geotechnics
- infrastructure development
- nuclear services
- renewable energies
The conference format combines group seminars with targeted breakout discussions, enabling networking and knowledge transfer among specialists. Expert video recordings will capture insights from participants, creating a valuable resource for SOCOTEC's broader community of 200,000 clients worldwide.
The Trust & Tech Conference demonstrates SOCOTEC's commitment to technical excellence and innovation.
With such a large delegation from the UK & Ireland team attending and contributing to the event, we're fostering collaboration across the 63 professionals in attendance that directly benefits our clients through enhanced service delivery and cutting-edge solutions.
Rebecca Davison and Indy Pahal presented during the AI Driving Hub session on 9th October, which aims to help advance artificial intelligence applications across SOCOTEC’s services.
The AI Driving Hub in Barcelona brought our international teams together to see AI in action across our business. Having everyone in one room meant we could share what's working, discuss challenges, and learn from each other's experiences.
These face-to-face sessions are important for keeping teams connected and aligned on our AI initiatives as we build our roadmap through to 2026.
