About Karla Sandoval
Karla Sandoval is a Senior Fire Engineer who has experience working for both clients and contractors on residential, assembly and recreation, educational and industrial buildings throughout the UK. As research lead, Karla is experienced in performance-based design using probabilistic modelling, radiative heat analysis or latest research available, as well as providing fire engineering solutions for lithium-ion battery related projects.
Karla’s projects to date have included battery energy storage system sites, garages for EV vehicles, residential and educational buildings with EVs in the premises, warehouses, factories, among others.
Professional Experience
WITH THE COMPANY SINCE 2023 | 5 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY
Karla has been a Fire Engineer at SOCOTEC UK since 2023. Prior to Karla’s current position, she was a fire risk consultant at BRE. Before transitioning to fire engineering, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a chemical engineer.
