About Mark Forsbrook
Mark is a Technical Team Leader who has extensive experience within the fire industry having been an operational firefighter for over 30 years and subsequent fire risk assessment and fire door inspector roles. During this time Mark has worked with both clients and contractors commercially throughout the UK. Mark is experienced in Operational Command, Fire Investigation, Community Partnership Groups, Learning and Development, Risk Management and Legal Compliance.
At SOCOTEC, Mark manages the fire risk assessment and validation team in delivering client focussed fire protection compliance and risk mitigation measures through accredited inspection and validation methodologies, as well as providing technical guidance within the Fire Safety Practice function.

Mark has been a Technical Team Leader at SOCOTEC UK since 2026. Prior to Mark’s current position, he was Lead Assessor, IQA and Qualifications manager at the FPA. Mark has previously worked for companies undertaking Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Door Inspections, Health and Safety within the Care Sector and Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service.
