    About Jasper Hattink

    Jasper currently holds the position of Technical and Commercial Manager for Nuclear and Radiochemistry and has been with SOCOTEC since 2012. In this role he provides expertise on radioactivity matters for the Agriculture, Construction, Energy & Utilities, Food & Beverage, Marine & Offshore, Recycling & Waste Management.

    He has comprehensive knowledge in  radio-analytical chemistry and postgraduate qualifications in radiation, wet-radiochemistry, gamma-spectrometry, radioisotope production and separation, inorganic chemistry. He has an extensive knowledge of radiochemical procedures and radiation regulation and associated ISO standards.  Jasper combines his experience and expertise in providing technical support for major contracts and supplying an overview of data produced by reviewing trends in data and interpreting results. Expertise is provided for a broad range of field where radioactivity or Radiation becomes an issue or subject. These cover Radioactivity export certificating, Natural Occurring Radioactive Materials, or “NORM”, Measuring for isotopes of Uranium, Plutonium, Americium, Radon, Radium or Cs-137 and Sr-90 in (drinking) water, the environment, land clearance or decommissioned  Nuclear reactors and power plants.

    Jasper Hattink has been a radiochemical expert at SOCOTEC UK since 2012. Prior to Jasper’s current position, Jasper was a principal radiochemist at Tradebe-INUTEC, Winfrith.
