About Dale White
Dale White is a fire-safety professional and Compartmentation Team Leader with extensive experience in fire compartmentation surveying, passive fire protection, fire-door inspection and high-rise building-safety management. A Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (MIFSM) and a third party-accredited fire-door inspector, Dale brings strong technical knowledge and practical operational experience to the leadership of SOCOTEC’s compartmentation team.
Dale’s background includes operational firefighting, specialist fire-risk assessment training, passive-fire surveying and facilities management, giving him a well-rounded understanding of how buildings are constructed, maintained and perform in fire. This supports his role in supervising compartmentation and fire door surveys, providing technical guidance, ensuring quality assurance and delivering compliant, evidence-based recommendations across a wide range of building projects.
Professional Experience
WITH THE COMPANY SINCE 2025| 17 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY
Dale has been the Compartmentation Team Leader at SOCOTEC UK since 2025. Before joining SOCOTEC, he served as an Interim Building Safety Manager at Oxford City Council and previously worked as a Fire Risk Assessment/ Passive Fire Protection Trainer with the Fire Protection Association. He has also gained extensive experience as a Passive Fire Surveyor, Fire Door Inspector and Fire Safety Consultant across a wide range of building types. His earlier career includes 6 years of frontline operational service with Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service and facilities management roles at the University of Oxford.
