It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste, and energy consumption. Independent certification to this standard by a UKAS accredited certification body assures our clients that that SOCOTEC has robust procedures and process in place to effectively and reliably manage any environmental aspects and impacts in delivering its testing, inspection and compliance services.
ISO/IEC 17025 for MCERTS
MCERTS is the Environment Agency’s Monitoring Certification Scheme and provides the framework for organisations to meet its quality requirements. SOCOTEC is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to ISO/IEC 17025 for MCERTS to provide stack emissions monitoring, as well as environmental chemistry and sampling waste waters, meaning our clients can be confident that we both understand and meet not only your requirements, but also those of the Environment Agency.
