Paul Tilley to Present at the SCLF Conference 2014

20 August 2014

ESG, the UK's leading provider of environmental inspection, testing and compliance services, is pleased to announce that Paul Tilley, operations director, for ESG’s Geotechnical division, is set to present at the Scottish Contaminated Land Forum (SCLF) Conference 2014.

This year’s conference, which is taking place on 16 September, is the Fifth Annual Conference on Advances in Land Contamination Assessment and Remediation. During the event, Paul will be presenting his paper on Use of Onsite Analysis in Contaminated Land Management. The presentation, which should be a huge draw for attendees, will cover the benefits of onsite analysis in planning a dynamic ground investigation strategy, the measurement techniques themselves, and quality control procedures. In addition, Paul will take delegates through a compelling case study on London Gas Works Site Investigation and Remediation.

Being held at the University of Strathclyde, the SCLF Conference will include expert speakers from across industry, academia and the Government. The wide range of topics covered is set to attract delegates from myriad organisations who are interested in the SCLF’s core aim of promoting the effective and sustainable reuse of contaminated land in Scotland.

In order to support the event, ESG has also committed to sponsor. As part of this agreement, ESG will be taking a small stand to exhibit its range of services, which include ground investigation and geotechnical laboratory testing. This will give colleagues, clients and contacts the opportunity to hear the latest from ESG, while networking with some of the company’s leading authorities on contaminated land.

Philip Ball, managing director, Geotechnical Services at ESG, said: “We are proud of Paul presenting at this year’s Scottish Contaminated Land Forum. Paul is an esteemed academic on the subject of contaminated land and his first presentation of this paper was well received at the Ground Investigation & Laboratories Conference earlier this year. Paul continues to support new talent coming into the geotechnical industry, by sharing best practice, and many of his colleagues will be attending the event to offer their support. It’s incredibly important for the progress of our industry that experts, such as Paul, continue to share their knowledge in public forums.”
