The GE Next Generation Awards recognise the talent of young engineers working in the field of ground investigation. Entrants have to demonstrate how their work has positively impacted on their employer’s business, as well as how the work has benefited clients.
Fiona has been nominated in the Young Ground Investigation Specialist of the Year category, for the support she offers clients, and most notably her enthusiasm for raising the standard of ground investigation on every project she is involved with.
Last month, Fiona travelled to London to present her entry to the judging panel directly, as part of the next round of the competition. This gave her the opportunity to explain her work in more detail, and to really show the panel why she deserves to win. She will find out the results of the final round at an awards ceremony, which will be held at the Bloomsbury Hotel in London on the 19 November.
Clare Chapman, operations director, Infrastructure Services, ESG, commented: “This recognition is testament to Fiona’s hard work and dedication. We place great importance upon the development of young talent so it’s great to see this being recognised by the wider industry. On behalf of ESG, I would like to wish Fiona the best of luck for the competition final later this month”.
